The SRV Centre, sponsored by the University Library of Genoa, organised a conference entitled "Beyond the cure horizon - Personalised Medicine and cancer screening".
The conference, coordinated by Prof. Emanuela Marcenaro (DIMES- Vicepresident of the SRV Centre), dealt with the topic of precision medicine, particularly relevant for the treatment of cancer, and how it is transforming the health system, as well as the significant challenges that keep existing, namely the extension of the access to these treatments to a bigger number of patients and the improvement in the identification of risk factors.
