The IAMES2024 workshop deals with environmental modelling, optimization and control. These topics generally involve interdisciplinary competences and find application in multiple domains (natural and technological risk management, pollution, circular economy etc) in an integrated way. The objective is also to organise an international forum to discuss the role of automation and systems engineering for environmental and energy sustainability, taking into account environmental impacts, economic issues, new technologies (energy production from renewables, smart grids, smart buildings, electric vehicles, storage systems etc.), and new management tools (decision support systems, building automation systems, energy management systems etc).
